Elegant Floors was contacted by a docent of the Gamble Garden’s house about its hardwood flooring badly in of need of some TLC. The project involved 3,500 square feet of white oak hardwood flooring.
After getting opposing opinions from other flooring companies who suggested a complete wood flooring replacement, Elegant Floors strongly suggested refinishing to replacing the flooring.
Elegant Floor’s GM Scott Miller relied on his 25-years of hand-on experience, along with his crew chief’s vast experience, that quality-minded refinishing would more than take care of the worn floors.
The job’s scope: Gamble Garden’s hardwood floor refinishing, 3,500 square feet of white oak hardwood floor refinishing with a chestnut color stain, then sealed with three coats of Pallman high-quality a water-based satin-sheen finish.
The refinishing project also including inspections and testing to ensuring successful results
without having to replace or modify the existing hardwood floors at an extra expense, and thereby being able to preserve the original character of the Historic Gamble Home.
Gamble Garden docents greatly appreciated Elegant Floors integrity and workmanship. The floors were returned their natural beauty while this non-profit Palo Alto local treasure paid a fair price for only what was needed.
